Oath of Office

Grant county Officers elected during the 2014 election will be sworn in on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 9:00 am in the Grant county Courtroom. Those taking the Oath of Office will be Max Hess County Commissioner Dist. 1, Nathan Shaffer, County Commissioner Dist. 3 and Robyn Herod, Assessor. Penny Dowell Grant County Treasurer will take her Oath of Office on July 1, 2015 at the beginning of the Fiscal Year.

Safety conscious, Grant County, scheduled a safety training with Oklahoma One-Call (Call Okie Before You Dig) on May 13, 2014.  During these trainings participants learn about the law concerning calling 811, and the 48 business hour notification, before doing any excavation, they also learn about safe digging practices as well as the importance of damage prevention in our state. County Clerk Sworn Into Office

Sherri Eulberg was sworn into office by Judge Jack Hammontree, Monday, November 10th following her victory in the race for county clerk last Tuesday.

Eulberg was appointed in February by the County Commissioners. She handily won the remaining two-year term as Grant County Clerk, winning 56.7 percent of the Special Election vote, with 7 precincts reporting. Her opponent, Mickey Honeyman, received 47.8 percent of the vote.

Eulberg was excited with the success of the election. “I’m honored to be able to serve the citizens for the remainder of the term and I look forward to working with and for Grant County.”

Citizens Urged to Prepare for Winter Weather

Citizens in Grant County are urged to prepare for the upcoming winter weather season as part of "Winter Weather Preparedness.”

Rep. Lucas Meets with Grant County Commissioners to Discuss Transportation Issues

Medford, OK – Congressman Frank Lucas met Thursday October 23 with Grant County Commissioners Cindy Bobbitt, Max Hess and Jerry Shaffer to discuss federal transportation issues. They toured a county bridge that was financed with 80% Federal Funds and 20% County Improvement Road and Bridge Funds (CIRB).

Updated Technology

The Grant County Clerk’s office has updated their technology! With a new computer for the clerk and each deputy, a new work station has been added for the reception of documents. It allows for immediate dispersal of receipts and same day return of documents. Learn more about updates in the clerk's office.

Ground Breaking for the 1893 Land Run Historical Center

Saturday, September 27, 2014 the 1893 Land Run Historical Center Board of Directors official held their ground breaking ceremony for the new educational and historical museum building.  The building site is located at the northwest corner of Cherokee Street and U. Grant County Health Improvement Organization (CHIO) Survey

My name is Juli Pack and I am the Program Coordinator for a network development grant recently awarded to Rural Health to expand the Garfield County Health Improvement Organization (CHIO) into Grant County. The CHIO is a newly formed group designed to help improve the health of the population by bridging community efforts (i.e. mental & public health, social services, non-profits, public schools, etc.) with what primary care practitioners are doing in practice and in the community. We are currently conducting a survey that will help us determine what the citizens of Grant County believe are the most important and what you would like to see addressed. Oklahoma College Date Base Link

The Online College Database provides future post-secondary students with the information they need (at no cost) to make informed decisions about where to attend college. The Online team has created an easy-to-digest guide to all the 61 colleges in Oklahoma, including the 40 four-year colleges and the 21 two-year schools.  Important factors such as tuition, enrollment size, campus setting, male / female ratio, student-to-faculty ratio, ROTC availability and acceptance rate have been included for each college. Our data comes exclusively from U.S. federal government databases such as the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). 1893 Land Run Historical Center

A New Beginning

The 1893 Land Run new historical center will be constructed on the northwest corner of U. S. Highway 81 and Cherokee Street (east-west Main Street) in downtown Medford, Grant County, Oklahoma.

Deer Creek, Oklahoma REAP Grant CompletionDear Creek Reap Grant Completion DEER CREEK, OK - Grant County District 2 recently completed a street improvement project for the Town of Deer Creek. County Commissioner Cindy Bobbitt wrote and submitted a cost sharing REAP Grant in late 2012. NODA awarded the project in 2013 in the amount of $57,375.00 with the county proving in-kind services of $20,000.00 in equipment and labor. More

Managing Farm Transitions

Grant County OK Wheat Plot Tours

Grant County Oklahoma Wheat Plot Tours

The annual Wheat Variety Plot Tours in Grant County, Oklahoma will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 a. m. at Kirby Farms, five miles west of Lamont and 1/4 mile south on CR 1010 or nine miles east of Pond Creek on highway 60 and 1/4 mile south on CR 1010.

A second tour is scheduled on the Dale Berline farm near Renfrow at 2:00 p. m. The location of the field is 2 ¾ miles north of the Logan Road and CR 1070 intersection on the east side of the road.

State Exchange Bank of Lamont, will provide refreshments.
Dr. Jeff Edwards, OSU Professor/Small Grains Extension Specialist, will lead the discussion on the varieties.
